Week 16 Sunday of the 2014 NFL season will kickoff later today and across the league, superstar rookies will play pivotal roles in big games — just as they have all season. Long before the 2014 NFL Draft even took place last May, football experts, fans and collectors held high hopes for the potential of such a stacked rookie class. All this group of young playmakers has done seemingly every week since is blow those expectations out of the water while blowing everyone watching away.

Collectively, the 2014 NFL rookie class has been every bit as impressive in the trading card arena, with the likes of Odell Beckham, Jr., Sammy Watkins, Kelvin Benjamin, Teddy Bridgewater and more raising their respective Rookie Card values higher with every hair-raising performance. So as we sit here on the cusp of another Sunday showcase, we also anxiously await the hobby release of Panini America’s 2014 Contenders Football and its landmark Rookie Tickets autographed RCs.

In the gallery that follows, we aim to fan the flames of Contenders anticipation by presenting a sizzling sampling of hard-signed, heavy-hitting rookie autographs, a collection of images featuring the likes of the aforementioned standouts as well as Blake Bortles, Johnny Manziel and Jadeveon Clowney. Enjoy — and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.
