As we’ll see throughout today in a series of marquee NBA Christmas Day games, basketball played at the highest level imaginable can be a true work of art. As a result, basketball cards can be works of art, too — especially when those basketball cards hail from Panini America’s 2014-15 Court Kings Basketball product. Set to release next Tuesday, the newest Court Kings creation would be just as suitable as the centerpiece of an art museum exhibit as it would be inside your local hobby shop.

Boasting a bold, colorful motif and a fine-art theme that permeates every aspect of the product, 2014-15 Court Kings Basketball will deliver one autograph, one memorabilia card, one Portrait, one Rookie Card and two inserts in every 10-card hobby box. There are also three distinct “Hot Box” configurations randomly inserted, including one that features 100 percent rookie content (two rookie autographs, two rookie memorabilia cards, three Rookie Portraits and three Rookie Cards), one that features one autograph and three memorabilia cards and one that features two autographs and one memorabilia card.

2014-15 Court Kings Basketball also features the return of the popular oversized Box Toppers, including rare autographed versions from the likes of Kobe BryantKevin DurantKyrie IrvingAndrew WigginsJabari ParkerStephen Curry, John WallBill WaltonJohn StocktonKareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry West and many more; pay special attention to the rookie Box Toppers incorporating unique “below-the-court” photography. In addition, the splendid Art Nouveau massively swatched rookie memorabilia cards return in a variety of collectible forms to complement a set bolstered by four distinct Rookie Card styles, and artistically themed inserts such as Expressionists, Aficionado, New Aesthetic and Sketches & Swatches.

Despite all of that, perhaps the most attractive insert for many collectors will the Performance Art game-dated memorabilia cards that include pieces of memorabilia worn by the featured NBA superstars in specific games, with images and cardback copy to match. You can check out a little bit of all of that in the following gallery, which features just some of the masterpieces that surfaced during the recent Quality Control process. Enjoy the gallery.

From all of us at Panini America: Merry Christmas!
