We hope everyone has had a fantastic 2014 so far. It has been a very busy last six months for us preparing for the reveal.

Well wait no more Gimko 2.0 is here.

Free Regular Store

To celebrate the revamped site we are giving everyone the opportunity to test out the new site by offering free regular store accounts (normally $4.95/month). The regular store account will then revert back to normal price after 31 July 2014 and you will be charged the normal monthly rate unless cancelled.

NRL Breaks

We have partnered with Ja Ja’s Collectables to bring you NRL breaks. Check out the site for more details.

Gimko 2.0 Enhancements

The first thing we did was give the whole site a facelift. What looked like a blast from the past from 2004 has now burst into the future. The new home page has had the biggest transformation and is now LOADED with new information to make your life easier when navigating the site.

Along the way we also did some optimisation to make pages load quicker, made the site much more user friendly & easier to understand and grouped common features to remove the technical clutter that only computer enthusiasts could understand.

THAT’S NOT ALL!!!

We took your suggestions on board and implemented the following features:

  • Forum – at popular request from our facebook fans and users, we integrated a forum into the Gimko site where collectors can connect and discuss their beloved hobby with other collectors. The best part is that no sign up is required for existing members. Simply login and you will be able to use the forum instantly. Please make sure you read the rules before posting.
  • Make Offer System – complete overhaul of the system so now you can make counter offers and offers have an expiration time.
  • Feedback System – complete overhaul of the sold items and items won pages to make it easier for users to leave feedback and view feedback at an item per item basis. For those looking to do bulk feedback, look no further and go to your Feedback Manager under My Gimko > My Account.
  • Improved Paypal Invoices – We understand it was sometimes confusing grouping the item & shipping costs together and that’s why you can now find separated shipping costs in Paypal. At checkout or when you view the details for your payment the shipping and insurance costs will now be stored in the shipping and handling field on Paypal invoices.
  • Unique Store Address URL – Your store will now stand out with its own unique easy to follow store URL. The URL will feature your store name making it easier for buyers to find you again.

Bulk Lister

Version 3.1 of the Gimko Bulk Lister has now been released. Additional brands were added to the tool and some minor fixes. It is highly recommended you update to this version before creating any new bulk listings.

As a reminder in version 3.0 we incorporated the new graphical user interface (GUI).

To launch the GUI, simply click on the LAUNCH TOOL button on the INFO tab. You can also make the GUI launch on start up by changing the default setting for “Launch tool on start up” to YES on the INFO tab.

Also a reminder to our store owners, if you have custom categories setup for your store on the Gimko website, you will need to download them into the bulk tool on the CUSTOMCATS tab using your Gimko login credentials and save the file. Please note that all your custom categories will download even though they may not be selected to display. This will allow you to pre upload bulk listings for a category which you have not yet elected to display to your buyers for various reasons such as it is empty.

For more information on how the new tool works please read the INFO tab and the quick guideline provided with the bulk tool package. New bulk lister can be found here.

Finally thank you all for your kind support and feedback in helping Gimko make a better place where collectors connect.
