50. Jack Mueller
Played his entire career at Melbourne and was a four time premiership player with the Demons. He is perhaps best known as playing with only 8 fingers after he lost two in a machine at work. While he has appeared in some sets in the 1990’s we could not go past his first card in the ever popular 1939 Allens Set.

49. Wayne Schimmelbusch
A bonafide North Melbourne legend, Wayne spent his entire career at North Melbourne and retired having played the most games for the club. He was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 1997. We chose his card from the 1987 Scanlens set. 1987 was the year he retired and the card has a great look to it along with a very nice piece of photography.

48. Albert Collier
Collier is a Collingwood legend and was part of “the machine” that won 4 premierships in a row from 1927 to 1930. All up he was part of 6 premiership winning sides, was named in Collingwood’s Team of the Century and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996. We chose this card from the 1929 Griffiths “Black Crow” set.

47. Gary Wilson
Known as ‘Flea’ due to his playing weight being only 64kg he was regarded as one of the toughest and technically gifted players in the game. While he did not play in any Grand Finals he was voted best and fairest for Fitzroy 5 times and was named in Fitzroy’s Team of the Century. We could not go past his card in the 1974 Scanlens set which today is still one of the most recognisable made.

46. Glen Jakovich
A two time Premiership player with West Coast, Jakovich was one of the great centre half backs of his time. He was named best and fairest four times and was an All Australian twice. This card is from the 1996 Select Centenary Classic series ‘Future hall of fame’ insert set. They were spot on – he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008.
