Man shit like this pisses me off..... such a great young player in the prime (and getting better continually) of their career.

Although, as I heard it it's not as bad as it looks...... it's a snap, sure he's gonna be out for the season, but worse to tear something like an ACL.

Was looking forward to watching him go off this season. Terrible injury. Hope he recovers to 100% but man, that could be tough!

Cheers,

Matt

@DrRobertKlapper on twitter says Anderson Silva back 100% and PG tibia will be STRONGER after bone heals.

Hope so!

Don't think so. Insured for $6.5 of his (14m?) contract next year if he misses the full season apparently

Ah okay. Any idea if Brandon Roy was insured now that we are on the topic?

here's a Blazers article but didn't he play for Minny for a bit too? not sure what happened there

http://espn.go.com/n...etire-due-knees

If the 27-year-old Roy files for medical retirement, insurance likely would take care of his salary in coming years. His salary would not count against the cap after one year.

"The other thing, that Larry Miller was a big part of, is one the last year of Brandon's deal we made about a significant portion of it non-guaranteed and used that money -- that hold-back -- as a secondary insurance policy. Brandon's fully insured."

Yeh I would've assumed that playing for Minny after that might've screwed up the insurance a little bit.
